Tao was a really excellent experience. Even the entrance is cool and it only gets better as you continue to walk further inside. The atmosphere is amazing and one can see why it attracts celebrities. It is a feast for the eyes. We had a really great server, named Zaban, who actually grew up in New Jersey. He was friendly and fun and made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. We ordered an excellent Sauvignon Blanc wine from their extensive wine list.
We were starving, so we ordered three appetizers, the first being our new addiction, the YUZU roasted shisito peppers. They were delicious and flavorful. They truly reinforced how much we enjoy them. We also ordered the Dragon Tail Spare Ribs which were truly amazing. Lastly, we also ordered the Satay of Chicken with Peanut Sauce. Every appetizer was rich and flavorful.
For dinner, we ordered two entrees. The first was, Hong Kong XO Shrimp with Long Beans and Jasmine Rice. The taste was light, flavorful and pleasing to ones taste buds. The second entrée was Swordfish served with Asparagus Tempura. The swordfish was perfectly prepared and we could have eaten the asparagus all day. Both entrees were amazing in taste and presentation. To top everything off, we were served chocolate fortune cookies – our favorite type of fortune cookie.
To sum it up, Tao is a really terrific place for a chic experience and excellent food. We can see why one of our favorite clothing designers, Kenneth Cole, hangs out there when he is in Las Vegas.
