Stinking Rose, San Francisco, CA

Ren and I were fortunate to enjoy a fantastic garlic themed dinner at The Stinking Rose in San Francisco. This is the brother restaurant of The Stinking Rose that we reviewed in Beverly Hills last year.  (Here’s a handy link for you, in case you missed it, or if you just want to see more yummy pictures of garlic-y food!)  For those not familiar with the restaurant, it is a garlic lovers paradise!  Literally everything on the menu has garlic of some form in it!  We really like this location just as much as the other one, but this one has a little element that sets it apart from the other: a small patio dining area upstairs in the center of the restaurant. If you are lucky enough to get there at a good time, there are three small tables up for grabs there, so plan accordingly. Also, be prepared to make reservations, because this place gets packed. After you taste the food you will understand why. (more…)

Michael Chiarello is one of our favorite chefs on television, and we finally had the opportunity to eat at his award winning restaurant, Bottega. His restaurant is located in Yountville, California, a small town in picturesque Napa Valley, California. Right next to Bottega is Michael’s store named, Napa Style, which is full of wonderful items you can buy for your palette and home. (more…)
