Downtown Freehold sure has changed a lot since it was first incorporated over 300 hundred years ago on October 31, 1693!  Downtown Freehold has maintained it’s historic feel, but has added a modern flare and become a nighttime gathering spot including a few trendy  & traditional restaurants.  Metropolitan Cafe is one of those, that manages to combine the comfort of a traditional American bistro with a hip, sophisticated flare.  We were wowed by some of the Pacific Rim & Latin flavors bursting in the food that comforted us so nicely the evening we visited the Metropolitan Cafe!
